DoD at Pentagon to use Android devices manufactured by Dell
There was a time when BlackBerry was the only device used bycorporatesand higher officials at the Pentagon and the department ofdefense. But now Android is replacing all these Blackberry deivces. And the same thing has happened in the Pentagon. Department of Defense (DoD) in Pentagon will be using Andrid 2.2 devices manufactured by Dell. This news is really shocking than exciting. Why would Pentagon choose Android 2.2 even though there are much better and solid version of Gingerbread out there? Also why have they chosen Dell as their manufacturer? Both these thoughts are above my head. But I do know one thing, why they did not go for iPhone. iPhones have to be connected to iTunes and all the data in the iPhone has to pass through it, also Apple likes to track the location by the in built GPS chip. These are reasons enough for the Pentagon not choosing iPhone as their primary device. Well at the end of the day it is good news for Both Dell and the Android development team.
