Samsung Galaxy Y Hands-On

We attended the launch event in Delhi and here are the hands-on photos of Samsung Galaxy Y. Samsung Galaxy Y Samsung Galaxy Y is the new entry-level Android (2.3.5) smartphone from Samsung in India and its priced at Rs. 7830/- which is its MRP. The device is quite nice looking compared to the other Android entry level phones and has quite good finishing and materials used despite it's all plastic. The back panel is complete plastic with matt finish and there will not be fingerprint issue. Galaxy Y uses 1200 mAh battery. The device was quite responsive even though the unit we handled was a commercial sample than a final unit. So we think it was already running the final software version which is now shipping with Galaxy Y in the market. Galaxy Y is also using TW4 launcher by Samsung similar to new 2011 Galaxy Android series including the Samsung Galaxy S II. The display is 3? QVGA but still was quite sharp and bright. Overall the display quality is quite acceptable as the device is very entry level android ...
