Motorola?s new Xyboard WiFi tablets are now available to pre-order with a release date of January 19th. Up until the end of 2011, we took a look at both the 8.2 and the 10.1 models in terms of their specifications with a video review of the bigger Xyboard. Good news for customers who may not... 
Motorola launches MOTOLUXE and DEFY MINI Android sets (video)
CES hasn't even officially gotten underway and Motorola's already launching not one, but two handsets for the Greater Chinese, European, and Latin American markets. First off we have the higher end of the two, the not quite new Motorola MOTOLUXE -- which we've already seen in China as the XT615 and more recently in the hallowed halls of the FCC -- packing a 4-inch display, 8 megapixel camera with flash, and a nifty lit lanyard slot on the front for email, text, and voicemail notifications. The least dynamic of this duo is the dust-proof, water-resistant, Gorilla Glass-toting DEFY MINI. This downmarket set features a 3 megapixel cam, 3.2-inch display, and a relatively beefy 1650 mAh battery that touts 10 hours talk and 21 days standby time. Sadly there was no mention of pricing, but both devices are slated for February availability in the aforementioned markets. Video and PR after the break.

Pantech Element poster spied in AT&T store, coming for $300?
We're all expecting to see the Pantech Element shown off at CES this week, but as this image sent to Engadget shows, AT&T seem all set to be selling the tablet soon.
The AT&T store in question appear to have received their marketing a few days early and were a little keen in getting it out on display. Some of the specs and pricing were also on display which are in line with the earlier reports.LTE, Android 3.2, 16GB of memory, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, 5MP rear camera with 1080p video recording, and a 2MP front-facing camera. Price, $300 on a new two year deal, $450 off contract. Availability is slated for the week of January 15.
Oh, and it is waterproof, more of less.

Verizon Galaxy Nexus Review
It's hard to talk about the Verizon Samsung Galaxy Nexus without talking about the relative mess that was its road to launch. The Galaxy Nexus was announced (after a brief delay) in Hong Kong on Oct. 18. At the time, no carriers were announced. Verizon finally made it official on Oct. 21, saying the first phone with Android 4.0 "will be available later this year." And that's all we got, until Dec. 15, when it finally and unceremoniously went on sale.
Never mind that we told way back on July 25 that Verizon would get it. But we digress.
And you know what? Now that the phone's out, none of this matters. Old news.
And never mind that for all intents and purposes, we've already thoroughly reviewed the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, thanks to Alex Dobie's stellar look at the unlocked GSM version that's been available in Europe for some time and for importing to the States. While the Verizon Galaxy Nexus is new to those of us in the United States, and new in the sense that it's a 4G device with a bit of hand-holding from Verizon in the software department, we're hardly looking at an all new phone from the GSM model.
So here's where we stand: Read on for our complete Verizon Galaxy Nexus review. I haven't yet really weighed in on my thoughts about the Galaxy Nexus and Ice Cream Sandwich. So I'm going to forgo some of the usual spec talk (again, read Alex's GSM Galaxy Nexus review if you haven't already) and concentrate more on the Verizon Galaxy Nexus differences, and my thoughts on Android 4.0 and how it all fits together.
And with that, we present our Verizon Galaxy Nexus review.
  It's a Nexus, so it's got the full weight and attention of Google behind it. I'll get upgrades before other devices.
